World renowned Sankara Nethralaya Ophthalmologists shall be advising remotely from Titan Eyeplus stores
31st July 2020: Addressing the ever-growing need for credible and accessible eye-care consultation at a time when we are grappling the world through the digital screens from home and visiting a distant eye-hospital seems risky, Titan Eyeplus in association with Sankara Nethralaya has launched teleconsultation with ophthalmologists across its stores in select cities.
Titan Company and Sankara Nethralaya have a Going Relationship since 2008 through technical collaboration for training of Titan Eyeplus store staff and for knowledge sharing in the field of optical dispensing. It was time to take the partnership to the next level to serve the country better.
Now eye-care consultation by super specialist eye doctors from Sankara Nethralaya shall no longer be limited to their own centre in Chennai but available through a Virtual/Online platform enabled by chat/telephonic call/video call across all Titan Eyeplus stores and website. This shall save the heightened anxiety and effort of travel across the city or the country to access quality eyecare.
Spectacle customers in the store are sometimes re-directed to specialist doctors when the optometrists in the store detects an advanced medical condition that shall need treatment over and above the eyeglasses. Now the availability of specialized consultation for advanced eye health issues, in the store, will go a long way in improving customer experience.

The teleconsultation service shall be available to be booked through sankaranethralaya.org website and very soon will be enabled on titaneyeplus.com at an affordable consultation fees of Rs 500.
